Emilio Merritt is a bilingual Mexican-Canadian actor, director, screenwriter, and playwright based in Vancouver, BC.

Formally trained at UNAM’s Centro Universitario de Teatro (CUT) and School Creative in Vancouver, Emilio creates and performs in projects spanning major network television, international feature films, and award-winning theatre.

BILLY THE KID - Don Ortiz

Emilio Merritt stars as Don Ortiz in the American Western drama series "Billy the Kid," alongside Tom Blyth as the titular outlaw. Set in the 19th-century American Old West and created by Michael Hirst, the series premiered on Epix on April 24, 2022. The series quickly gained popularity, leading to a renewal for a second season split into two parts.

MOTIVE - Hector

Emilio Merritt Guest Star asHector, a horse caretaker on 'Motive,' gets caught in a murder investigation, raising doubts about his innocence and adding suspense to the gripping series. Emilio Merritt guest stars in the Mexican thriller movie "Mexican Gangster," also known as "El mas buscado," alongside Marvel Star Tenoch Huerta. Directed by JM Cravioto. Emilio portrays the Police Chief tasked with capturing one of Mexico's most notorious bank robbers.

SUPERNATURAL - Luis Fernando

In the hit TV show "Supernatural," Emilio Merritt had to truly showcase his acting prowess in a highly intense scene where the villain is mutilating a victim alive. "Supernatural" is a long-running TV series following two brothers as they hunt demons, ghosts, and other supernatural beings while grappling with their own personal struggles.

DRAG ACROSS CONCRETE - Mexican Security Guard

In the tense crime thriller "Dragged Across Concrete," starring Mel Gibson and Vince Vaughn, Emilio Merritt was brutally murdered. The film explores the dark and gritty world of two police detectives navigating moral dilemmas and corruption.

LAS OSCURAS PRIMAVERAS - Delevery man

Las Oscuras Primaveras is a Mexican drama directed by Ernesto Contreras, exploring desire, loneliness, and complex relationships in Mexico City. This was the first movie Emilio worked on, and it remains one of his proudest moments. Even in a small role, he shared the screen with two Mexican legends and he was directed by a true maestro of cinema.
